Week 45 in review

This week kicked off an incredibly busy period which is so well timed with budget meetings, travel, and holidays.  Some of it is still too early to talked about publicly, so this jam-packed week is deceptively light on information.

RFPs and showcasing

We are responding to a couple of RFPs right now and this is increasingly tied to some sort of showcasing of work that our Centre has produced in the last year or two.  This week involved planning and preparing for both, and on the customary tight timeline.

Truth and Reconciliation Dialogue

We had a really nicely facilitated TRC Dialogue event that brought together about 40 JIBC staff, students, elders, and instructors in a half day event.  There are really no adequate words to describe the emotion that a day like this produces, and I felt honoured to be part of a talking circle that included Chief Dr. Robert Joseph himself.
